CloudLink on Apple TV

Browse from the sofa, play with a controller, and make the picture fit your television.

A guide to the current development build. Features and availability may change before release.

Get ready to play

Use your GeForce NOW account and follow the app’s phone sign-in flow. Browse with the Siri Remote and use a supported game controller for gameplay. Games and membership are separate from CloudLink.

Choose a preset before starting. Automatic modes take the active output into account when you press Play. The remote rig, membership and game still determine the delivered stream.

Reach stream controls from the game

Hold both shoulder buttons and Menu to open Stream Settings. Menu alone remains available to the game.

Stream Settings lets you change available playback options, return to Library or end the session. Returning to Library can leave the game running. Use Resume to return, or choose End Stream and confirm when you are finished.

Controller Test in Diagnostics lets you check buttons, sticks and triggers without starting a game. Input settings include button mapping, stick sensitivity, response curves and dead-zone adjustments.

Fit the picture to the television

In Settings → Display, Fit preserves the complete picture, Fill crops the edges, and Stretch changes its proportions. Choose Manual to reveal Size, Horizontal and Vertical, then use Recenter Picture if needed.

These controls are useful when a television crops the edges or you want to adjust the picture’s placement. They do not change the remote game’s rendering resolution.

CloudLink displays the current output and Match Content information that tvOS provides. Check Apple TV’s own video settings for Match Frame Rate and Match Dynamic Range. The app cannot independently confirm both switches from the general Match Content flag.

A higher stream request does not unlock a higher television refresh rate. HDR and refresh behavior depend on the active output, display, cable, membership and stream.

Match audio to the connected system

Request Stereo, 5.1 or 7.1 under Audio and choose the audio bitrate for the next stream. CloudLink shows when the requested channel count is limited. The received stream and your HDMI or headset output determine what can actually play.

Microphone controls depend on an available input. Do not assume that the Siri Remote microphone is a game-chat input. Headset microphone use can affect playback quality.

Handle a launcher or sign-in prompt

Stream Settings includes temporary pointer controls and a Type Text form for remote launcher or profile screens. Select the remote text field first.

Type Text supports up to 256 supported keyboard characters, assumes a US keyboard layout with Caps Lock off, and does not send Enter for you. It is a focused convenience for supported screens, not a promise that every desktop launcher works.

See what happened

Connection Test checks service reachability, device conditions and preset compatibility without starting a stream. It is not a download-speed test. History keeps recent local stream measurements.

Automatic Diagnostics can send limited technical reports through Sentry when enabled. Detailed manual Apple TV logs require a paired Mac. Read what is reported and how to turn it off.
